I have always enjoyed drawing trees, perhaps in some ways trees already are drawings.

These are of some of the young trees recently planted in our field and orchard. I'm no gardener but I love growing trees and must have planted more than a hundred in the twenty years we have been here at Hamsey. I like the leap of imagination required when you look at a sapling and apply to it its name as a tree.

Drawings of 5/12/13 (Oak), 7/12/13 (Walnut) and 8/12/13 (Cherry)
